Soup Recipe

Ready in about 40 minutes!

Serves 4 or more on a nippy Spring, Fall or cold Winter day!

Made with only the best Hatch Green Chile this is largely a “Dump Soup,” so it doesn’t actually need 3 sisters to make it, but we can guarantee the sisters & brothers in your family will LOVE what the flavor of New Mexico Green does to corn, beans, squash, & tomatoes! One package makes about a gallon of soup, so tell the fam & get cooking! In about 30 minutes there will be only slurping sounds as folks dig in.

BTW, Why is it called "Three Sisters," you ask? In Native American lore, the "Three Sisters" were Corn, Beans, & Squash. The three plants grew together, with Corn providing the stalk for the Beans to climb and Squash covering the ground to help keep weeds down & pests away. We have no doubt this classic Southwestern soup recipe will quickly become a family favorite!

Pair it with some tortilla chips for crumbling, some grated cheese, and maybe some fresh or frozen green chile if you can find it. “Buen provecho!”
